Boss comments on his participation in the transfer market.

Arsène Wenger is not afraid to take a “gamble” in the transfer market.

The Arsenal manager is looking to bring in experience before the window closes at the end of the month. At Friday’s press conference, he suggested that midfield and defence were areas in which he may strengthen.

Speaking after Saturday’s game with Liverpool, Wenger confirmed once again that he would buy. His concern was finding the requisite quality but he added that, if needed, he would speculate.

“We are never afraid to take a gamble,” said Wenger. “But to buy a player is always a gamble anyway.

“I look at the players and if they are good enough. People forget we have bought players - Gervinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jenkinson, Ryo - and you will see over the season they are top-quality players but at the moment we have to give them some time.

“Yes overall we will buy. Maybe people feel I am stubborn, but I am not, I just want to do the best for the team and buy the right players.

“If I have shown one thing in the last 15 years, it is that I have brought in good players.

“We will bring as well experienced players. People just say 'buy' but it is to buy the right player which is difficult.”

What's really needed at the Emirates?

Just ten day's to go until the transfer window closes and there's a cloud of stress surrounding the Emirates. The void left by Cesc Fabregas, who is set to be joined at the exit door by Samir Nasri is difficult to fill.Gunners fans are striving for a marquee signing to bolster our attack and a giant defender to solidify a shaky backline. So here are the player's who i believe would help the Gunner's once again become genuine title contenders.

Scott Parker:
He's the best buy possible. His experience and skill will help us.He could be a mentor to young Jack Wilshere and help Song keep a cool head.He has sufficient premier league experience and would add some much needed English spine. Most of all it's his price tag, he's available for just 6-8 million and West Ham Manager Sam Allardyce announced he expects Parker to leave.

Gary Cahill:
His name has been lniked to us all summer. But i wolud prefer him to Jagielka. He's much younger, cheaper and that he's the giant traditional english centre back Arsenal need.
Wenger might take this saga till the last day to try and get him for a bargain as he refuses to meet boltons 17m price tag.

Eden Hazard:
The every Arsenal fan would dream of having. He's young, has phenomenal skills which have gave him comparisons to the like's of Messi and Ronaldo. He would be menacing for opponent defender's.
Report's suggest Arsenal are ready to meet Lille's valuation and some report's suggest a deal has been agreed but it depends on whether Arsenal beat Udinese on Wednesday to qualify for the champions League.

I conclude that Wenger has to make 2-3 signing's before the window closes or else Arsenal are set to sink faster than the titanic.

my preferred formation:-
----------------shezny------------------------
sagna-------kos--------cahill---vermaelen-----
---------------song-------------------
---------parker--------wilshere----------
Hazard--------------------------gervinho
------------Rvp-----------------------

Arsenal 0-2 liverpool Reds add salt to the gunners wounds!

Liverpool gunned down arsenal 2-0 at the emirates.arsenal led by RVP had several player's injured like wilshere rosicky djourou and the like's of Song and Gervinho suspended.the gunner's though still looked upbeat and positive as young Frimpong did'nt allow anyone to feel Song's absence but unfortunately the youngster could'nt keep calm and was sent off after 2 yellows.Vermaelen was also playing well and proved he was the missing player last season.Luck did'nt favour Arsenal as Koscielny limped off,Frimpong was red carded Ramsey scored an unfortunate own goal and the linesman got it all wrong allowing an offside goal. This add's to arsene wenger's woe's and Le boss will be looking to add a few players before the window closes in 10 days time.
